Tena lady 'trickle of joy'

Ummm, just seen the new Tena lady advert - 'I call it my trickle of joy' 😳.... Do you?! Personally I'd call it 'pissing myself' but hey ho!... Far, far worse than the annoying oral B woman IMHO!... Yes, let's all 'embrace' women being chuffed to bits with being incontinent to sell more tena lady. I fully appreciate that incontinence wear is a need for some, and it's brilliant the stigma is being diminished. But somehow it just doesn't seem right to advertise this is the 'norm' so just pop a pack in with your normal shop and crack on?

I wish it could be fixed. Agree the as seems to act like you shouldn't even try but I've tried physio and let's just say that after three babies one of whom they let me push for two hours with, my beloved running is a thing of the past.

Those who had physio what time of thing did they do. I assume they give you exercises to practice daily ? Is it more than pelvic floor exercises? I've got an app already .. reminds me must do some now .. it's easy to forget !

A women’s physio will place her gloved fingers inside your vagina while you squeeze so she can assess the strength of your pelvic floor. In my experience, she kept her fingers there the entire time while I did the squeezes as directed. It’s the only way they can really see how you’re getting on but it’s worth being forewarned that’s it’s an intimate procedure.

Then homework in between appointments, sequences of squeezes - long and short, slowly pulling up, quick pulses etc. you start doing then lying down, then sitting, then standing - which is hardest.

In my case the physio realised that actually I needed to decrease exercises as my pelvic floor was permanently tense and that was causing the pain during intercourse. She taught me how to breathe (more complicated than it sounds) and relax the muscles and it solved the problem.

Me and DH had exactly this convo the other day after seeing the ad. We both said it's not normal and can be treated. Great it's talked about but shouldn't be normalised

I had a similar tens machine when my muscles were too weak to do kegels properly. It worked wonders! Good to see they are cheaper now too. Even so it was the best £100 I ever spent.
