To loathe the toilet roll nutella challenge

Just that. I don’t get it.

90% of the few videos I've seen of this has resulted in the child being physically sick or wretching to the point their face is bright red & tears rolling down their face. I don't see the humour in that personally. I don't even bother watching them anymore. Nobody I know personally has done this "challenge".

I also didn't see anything funny when throwing cheese slices at a child or babies face was the done thing either.

ThePluckOfTheCoward · 12/03/2020 23:28

A better challenge would be smearing a roll with Nutella and then putting it on eBay as used condition to see how much the hoarding morons are willing to bid for it. 😂😂

Notlong20 · 12/03/2020 23:30

@HaveeeeYouMetTed no one I know personally either. I think sharing it is just as bad though and my Facebook is full of shares!

I've only had a handful pass through my newsfeed, thankfully. Hopefully its a phase that will soon die down (& unfortunately move onto the next)

ForagingForFaerieGold · 12/03/2020 23:37

Haven't seen this and I hope I don't.

Evilspiritgin · 12/03/2020 23:37

@itsallthedramaMickiloveit

They will all be on here reading the stately home thread all no contact with their parents

user127819 · 12/03/2020 23:39

Posting videos of your children distressed and humiliated is just so immature, and cruel. I hate that this kind of thing is being normalised.

shinyredbus · 12/03/2020 23:40

As a human species I fear we’re becoming more and more stupid 🤦🏻‍♀️

AutumnRose1 · 12/03/2020 23:43

Shiny - we are

Have you seen the film Idiocracy? Sums it up.

gingersausage · 12/03/2020 23:56

Cynical as I am, I would assume the children’s reactions have been rehearsed and fine tuned to maximise the clicks 🙄.

overnightangel · 12/03/2020 23:58

What sad cunts actually do this Confused

DontCallMeShitley · 13/03/2020 00:03

Well Nutella is made of crap...

HarrietThePi · 13/03/2020 00:09

Sounds disgusting. I'm glad I haven't seen it, though rarely log onto Facebook. If it's your family's kind of humour then fair enough I suppose, but sharing it online is awful. It is baffling to me that the ones doing this are the parents!

salsmum · 13/03/2020 00:11

When we were kids my brother brushed my neck and told me he'd put a caterpillar down my back! He thought it was hysterically funny as I screamed and tried to get my clothes off from my back even to this day I cannot stand even a hair on my neck ( there was nothing down my back) many years have passed since but I still remember clearly the terror. I think this humiliation is cruel.

Daftodil · 13/03/2020 06:30

AhoyMrBeaver

YANBU. Nutella is not an adequate alternative to toilet roll. Challenge doesn't begin to describe it.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Findawaytobehappy · 13/03/2020 06:33

But I hate all of this BS of filming your kids reactions when humiliating them. Then posting it to social media with no thought to their feelings or consent later on

This. Filming babies sucking on a lemon or throwing cheese at them was equally distasteful and not at all funny.

Notlong20 · 13/03/2020 06:38

@HarrietThePi I think you can tell which children are used to practical jokes and those that aren’t!

OP posts:
Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 13/03/2020 07:17

The worst ones I've watched, are people terrifying their kids. It was big when the killer clown fad was happening. I saw a couple of videos that just made me want to cry. I couldn't imagine making my child feel like that.

DappledThings · 13/03/2020 07:27

Never heard of this and I hope I can continue not to see it. People are just fucking weird.

lowlandLucky · 13/03/2020 08:01

Some people should never be allowed to look after children

moobar · 13/03/2020 08:15

@Notlong20 I'm glad you posted this as I did not know what was going on and could not understand why parents were posting videos of children being sick ShockI did not even realise it was Nutella, just thought what the hell. And scrolled on.

TheRealHousewife · 13/03/2020 08:16

Those kinds of posts on FB that phish for likes is one of the reason I’m no longer on FB. Same with the passive aggressive posts sharing they are upset with someone that conclude ‘you know who you are’. I don’t miss it one iota.

I will say Nutella is delicious 😋 misses point of thread.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 13/03/2020 08:20

Filming babies sucking on a lemon or throwing cheese at them was equally distasteful and not at all funny. WTF??!?!?!

.....

MumW · 13/03/2020 08:22

If this starts spreading no pun intended into schools, it could be dangerous.
Doing it to someone who is allergic to nuts could put them into hospital.
