What’s FOD done now to cause offence?!

Just seen he’s posted an apology and disabled comments on it, but I must have missed what he’s apologising for!

Anyone any idea?

I don't follow him or his wife. Only know about them from what I read on here. Saw an article about his tweet and my first thought was 'what a snug looking dick he is'. I can not stand people who sell their kids lives and plaster them all over social media. Kids should have the right to privacy.

IDontDrinkTea · 13/03/2020 05:26

Such a half hearted apology too. Turns off comments to avoid having to answer any questions. Removes the initial post so all of the negative comments are now gone. Doesn’t remove it for several days however, I’m guessing to fulfill his contractual obligation so he still gets paid. No mention that he’s going to donate any of his fee to a women’s charity. “While my intentions were positive” - no your intentions were to get paid. 🙄

Mercurial123 · 13/03/2020 05:39

I'm not pretending not to give a shit. I have no idea who he is until reading this thread. Definitely not someone I would follow on Instagram.

pageers · 13/03/2020 05:51

The amount of followers he's lost since Clemmie-gate is hilarious.

I can't stand the man. His brand has absolutely zero value now. I give it six months before he quits Instagram.

Mummyoflittledragon · 13/03/2020 06:14

Never heard of him. Read the evening standard article. He and his wife sound vile. How could he think it appropriate to make money by exploiting his daughters and their “empowerment” on IWD? This shows just how little men appreciate what it is like to be a woman.

EerieSilence · 13/03/2020 06:33

People on MN will pretend not to give a shit but sit and watch his stories obsessively lol.

I am on Mumsnet. Never heard of this guy and only clicked on the post to see what FOD means. I’ve yet to understand what makes a so called influencer and why people are so keen on watching someone else’s lives. To me, all those influencers are the new Jeremy Kyle show and I never got the attraction of it either.

bizzybuzzy · 13/03/2020 06:42

read about this elsewhere, what I don't understand is dont these people get embarrassed? I would never use instagram again.

It's like the whole celebs & their ability to move on so quick from their marriages, relationships!

SunshineCake · 13/03/2020 06:54

It says a lot that grown women follow kids barely into adulthood who call themselves influencers. Saffron what's her face anyone. The guy with the stupid hair. Embarrassing.

topcat2014 · 13/03/2020 06:57

I thought of forest of Dean too

caperberries · 13/03/2020 07:31

How cowardly he is.

His doting followers are utterly perplexing...

Never a truer word spoken Grin
awaits the usual MOD is that you lol

Darlingsleepthief · 13/03/2020 13:41

I’m just surprised that MOD has still not reactivated her account!

OP posts:
pageers · 13/03/2020 15:04

Why would she reactivate her account? She shat all of her insta 'friends' in the most spectacular fashion, and brands won't touch her with a barge pole. There's nothing left for her there.

Mercurial123 · 13/03/2020 17:46

I hope that's sarcasm? I couldn't care less about any Instagram "influencer".

itsallthedramaMickiloveit · 13/03/2020 17:57

But what's he actually done wrong?
If he was offered money for the post and then accepted then it's just a business transaction. I don't think he should have to donate the money or anything. That's not his problem.

This is all on the person in marketing who clearly wants to find another job but go out in style.

itsallthedramaMickiloveit · 13/03/2020 17:59

And just for the record I genuinely don't know who he is. I've just read the thread.
But an influencer now is basically a job. So he's just putting on his persona and getting paid.

Runkle · 13/03/2020 22:04

Yes, but he used a day about empowering women to receive payment to and used his daughters to advertise a company who have gender pay inequality and the song attached to it was sang by Nas who was accused of domestic abuse against his ex-wife. Seriously, just Google it and inform yourself of the mess, I found this in seconds 'In its 2019 gender pay gap report, published on 7 February 2020, Axa UK stated that women working at the provider earn 20% less than men in median terms and 23% less in average terms. In addition, the insurer noted that when it comes to bonuses, women receive 25% less than men in median terms and 43% less in average terms. Axa also said that its gender distribution across leaders and executives was 63% male and 37% female as at 5 April 2019'

itsallthedramaMickiloveit · 13/03/2020 22:11

And honestly I wouldn't care if I have a job I do that job.
I've had to take care or a cause during my employment. It's the role I take on to pay my bills.
He was effectively an actor.

MrsTerryPratchett · 13/03/2020 23:13

You either have ethics or you don't. If you're selling a brand, and you tarnish that brand, you aren't doing a very good job.

EhOh · 13/03/2020 23:17

Has she not? What does she do now then? I wondered begat happened after that whole debacle!

Dubdubdubtub · 13/03/2020 23:29

His own wife trolled him didn’t she? What the hell is that about

itsallthedramaMickiloveit · 13/03/2020 23:30

Didn't say he did a good job.
I just don't think it's his fault. Thank

LambriniSocialist · 13/03/2020 23:36

The Hooper bubble is about to burst big time.

To be honest I think the kids will be relieved.

pageers · 14/03/2020 05:20

@EhOh I assume she's still delivering babies one day a week.

@LambriniSocialist The kids will be relived, especially the older two. It must be genuinely mortifying to have your father behave like he does on the internet.
