To feel a bit asthmatic and have started feeling scared?

Started feeling a bit wheezy this afternoon, this happens sometimes (but usually in colder weather) and i take ventolin. I'm not normally one to panic, but I can't help feeling quite anxious right now, which is not helping. Tell me something to help me calm down?

I am sure you will be OK .. Flowers But YANBU to be worried. Asthmatics are at risk. Look after yourself, don't go out if you don't need to, and make sure you always have your inhalers ON you.

Poppy: Thanks. I think my heart was beating a little too fast but I've calmed down a bit now. Normally my asthma starts up in freezing weather but it has been mild lately and I've been at work/ on public transport all day. Hence my anxiety!

If you are finding your symptoms getting worse then you need to go back to the GP for a steroid inhaler to help prevent it.

I totally understand OP, I'm asthmatic too and I'm getting very anxious every time I start feeling a bit wheezy, even though at this time of year it's normal for me.
