Posting here for traffic.

How much is a reasonable amount of money to spend on a gift for DC classmate? My child has been invited to the party which will take place in something similar to soft play(it isn't).
They are in year 1.

I never spend more than £10, usually around £5.

£10

I spend £5-7. There's plenty of things in that price range. If I find something good I often buy a few for the next few parties.

No more than £10. Probably £5 - £7. I tried to buy things when they were on sale/2 for 1 etc, so often had a stock of presents at home ready and waiting.

£5 ish for classmates & a bit more for closer friends. Books are always a safe bet!

I managed to spend about £4 at last class mates birthday party and got a hairbrush, nice notebook, pencil set and set of rubbers from home bargains.

LaPoesieEstDansLaRue · 13/03/2020 08:35

At that age I used to aim for £5-10

5-10. For very best friend I may stretch a little if I know what s/he would love.
