to be unable to sleep due to an earworm (lighthearted)

My 4 year old is currently into "Andy and the Band" on Ceebeebies. Like a mug, I thought it would be better than Justin Fletcher/Numberblocks ad infinitum/bloody whining Bing bloody bunny so let him watch. I now spend a stupid amount of the night when I should be sleeping lying awake with "Aaandy and the Band...something something lend a hand" running around my head. I have an ebf baby that keeps me up in the small hours and between the earworm and the baby, I'm so tired I can't feel my face.

Earworms are the devils work ! I often use to get them when I was trying to get to sleep , they wern't even always songs it cold just be a phrase or line I had heard earlier in the day .
So I started listing to BBC radio 7 > radio 4 extra which has lots of plays / dramas / comedies on , It helped me a lot .

Apparently the best way to get rid of a song stuck in your head is to listen to the entire song, as your head is playing the part it remembers on a loop so you need to hear the next part. No idea if it works but worth a go?!

I hate ear worms, they are the Devil’s work!!

I don't miss the CBeebies ear worm days. I once had Hugo Monkey stuck for weeks.

Before I had kids it was "Try to set the night on fire". I might have to start using the radio or podcasts to get to sleep

I have been up since 4 with the theme to let’s play stuck in my head 🙄🙄

I've had Into the Unknown playing constantly in the back of my head since the beginning of December.

I went to the stranger things secret cinema a couple of weeks ago and they played the theme from Never ending story.
I’ve had it stuck in my head for weeks and now my dd has started singing it so once I stop she starts .. it’s a vicious cycle .
Dh keeps telling me to shut up as it starts him off
