Irritated

I’m so irritated right now, just need to vent. Hubby called to say he had told his friend I can watch their dog whilst they are all away for work together. I’m 10 weeks pregnant & off work with a really sore back. It was a ‘Ive said you are home and would love the company of the dog so which days can you do?’ he called whilst colleague was in earshot so I didn’t feel I could be honest! I’m so irritated I don’t even want to speak to him right now. My usual go to would be to now ignore him (petty I know) but if I call him at work and blow up I will never hear the end of it/will get judged by any eavesdroppers.

What kind of community is it, that no-one is allowed to refuse to do anything for anyone else??

Weird update OP.

There was no point in moaning in the first place, as if you don't change, then you'll always get what you've always got.

My guess is that he rang in an office full of people knowing you wouldn't say anything!

You need to tell him no or this will be it for the rest of your life!

Hubby called to say he had told his friend I can watch their dog whilst they are all away for work together.

That's what kennels are for.
You don't know what sort of dog it is, how much exercise it needs, its feeding routine, sleep needs. Is it well behaved on walks, walks well on lead, doesn't react to other dogs or people.
Gloves should be ok for poo picking, get a poop scoop (or the owner should supply one). Careful with hand washing after handling the dog. Where will it sleep? (Bed should be supplied by owner). Is it ok if you have visitors. Do you have a garden for late night bedtime pee/poo visit? Disinfectant/cleaning stuff in case of accidents.

Dogs can be good fun and company but can also be a lot of trouble.

OP I think it’s shame you feel you can’t talk openly with your husband.
