I ordered an item last night and have just checked the tracking on the Royal Mail website which says this:

i"We're holding this item at XXXXXX Delivery Office (a Royal Mail office). We’ve received a request not to deliver mail to the property your item is addressed to today. We'll attempt delivery as per the instructions we’ve received, which is usually on the next working day."i

What on earth does it mean? I haven't made any such request to them and they are now closed so I can't phone them to ask what they are on about.

I would presume that the seller is waiting for your money to clear and they have asked the PO to keep hold of it ( though I dont know if this is actually possible )

Do you have a dog? Might a previous postie have complained??

mycorona · 12/03/2020 17:24

No, we've got no dogs and they (Amazon) have had the money.
I suppose that the Postie could have been concern about being visciously savaged by DD's hamster.

I had this once a few months ago and I still don’t understand why it happened, they delivered it the next day without any issues.
