Nanny insurance

I'm hiring a nanny and saw on a site that there is nanny insurance-to protect from accidents in the home I presume? Who pays this and is it a legal requirement?
Thanks to anyone who can help!

Should provide a bit more insight

@MolyHolyGuacamole yes thanks I saw that website but it doesn't say whether its a mandatory insurance for nanny or employer

Sorry for not clarifying. It isn't mandatory for a nanny, unless he/she is ofsted registered.

Neither is it mandatory for parents, but it's a personal choice.

OK thanks very much. I'll get liability insurance and leave it to the nanny to make her own decision.
