Rang up a customer service number to try and get to the bottom of DS' travel system snapping in two while he was in it. It happened last month but I gave up emailing as they weren't engaging with me. Gotoutofbedthewrongside answered and immediately starts quizzing me on why I'm phoning if my son is ok...Confused 'you haven't even sent me proof of purchase or a receipt!' I replied that is why I was calling: I wanted to start the ball rolling/let them know what had happened/hopefully resolve this. 'Well it says here we replied to your email on the 2nd' (incident happened on the 25th of last month). The reply said to call their customer service number Grin
If I'd rang her on her personal number telling her I'd like to shag her DH, I think she'd have spoken to me with more respect!
I've cut my losses but parents be careful with Cosatto as their pushchairs are hazardous and they aren't bothered.

DS was fine after the shock of landing on the floor like a sack of spuds and twisting his foot. I'm just glad it didn't happen while crossing a busy road.

I remember seeing a piece on Watchdog YEARS ago about this happening to Cosatto buggies. I really like the look of their stuff but it put me off completely even though it was a very long time before I had children.

Notredamn · 10/03/2020 17:47

Really Mummagiles 😱 I hadn't seen anything like that and was impressed with them up until now.
I wondered what the hell had happened when I was pushing DS along and he suddenly just dropped to the ground! Thought the base had somehow collapsed and then saw the seat had just snapped clean off.
Thank fully had my comfy shoes on as we had a long walk home! And not too many shopping bags.

Take to Twitter, seems to be the way to get stuff done these days

I'm not on twitter, it's been a good few days since the phone call and me emailing again straight afterwards with the info asked for (again) only for no reply again so I thought I'd accept I was getting no where and moan on here instead haha

Op I'm not usually in to this but if all else fails and they wont help go on social media name and shame them , leave them negative feedback. It always seems to get their attention.

Cosatto buggies have been doing this years! I’m amazed they’ve not dealt with this design issue, or are refusing to engage over it.

Blinkme · 10/03/2020 18:31

My mamas and papas armadillo snapped in half while i was walking along the road pushing dd2. Customer service number wouldn't help, accused me of lying and told me to pay more attention to the buggy instead of my phone. I wasn't using my phone 🙄. This was a few years ago but i tweeted and left posts on their Facebook page and within 48 hours i had a brand new buggy, £150 of vouchers to spend in store and a bunch of flowers as way of apology for the initial phone call.

Complain as loudly as you can via social media, i hope they take you seriously

Use resolver, things tend to be answered when you use it.

I have read reviews about things like this happening with this brand, which is why depsite a lovely design, we went with a different brand! That was 3 years ago or so and I would have thought they have fixed this, clearly not...

John470322 · 10/03/2020 18:41

Ask your council trading standards to take the issue forwards before a child gets killed.

Notredamn · 10/03/2020 18:54

Blinkme the CFs Shock I'm glad you got compensated.
Thanks for the social media tips etc I might get on to it. I'll at least leave a bad review as it's such a bloody dangerous fault.
