Corona this, corona that.
Shutting down schools, airports... Cancelling events where more than 1000 people will attend. Panic buying fucking bog roll? Does it give you the shits?

Honestly people.

My DM passed away on Saturday, there is talk my brother may not be able to return to the UK (from the States) for her funeral.

Get a fucking grip.

I totally agree with you OP and I’m sorry to hear about your Mother Flowers. People are buying into the mass hysteria the media is propelling.

OldSpeclkledHen · 10/03/2020 14:07

Can I hide the CV board? I don't care about it. I don't want to read about it. I just want to get on with my life, and come on here for 5 minutes away from the fucking mess that is my life currently.

@Isthistrueor Thank You xx

Fuck the fucking media.

I'm sorry about your Mum. Everything seems so fucking trivial when you've lost a beloved parent. I know from personal experience.

Songsofexperience · 10/03/2020 14:31

Very sorry for your loss OP Flowers.
It is annoying to hear about it , yes, but not talking about a virus that might kill many vulnerable elderly people is not helpful. It needs planning and the population needs to be made aware or many people's DMs and DFs will die...
My mum has high blood pressure and heart problems. Catching viral pneumonia would be a disaster for her.

bigbadoldbag · 10/03/2020 15:10

Sorry for your loss OP.

I agree...the CV boards are full of people saying what should or should not be done and I bet none of them have any experience in virus containment at all! But from their armchair, they rail against the experts. I'd rather listen to the advice from people who know what their doing, not those that 'think' they do.

crapette · 10/03/2020 16:40

So sorry for your loss.

Yes, you can hide the CV topic (and any others that you choose) I think you have to be on the desktop site though

Totally agree OP and so sorry for your loss. The hysteria is getting beyond ridiculous and we all need to take a breath and get a grip as you say.
