So I cooked a huge bolognese yesterday and stupidly left it on the counter top in Tupperware, uncovered, ready for the freezer overnight.

AIBU to freeze it and see it goes?

Or should I bin it?

Yes - YABU, chuck it you dafty
No - YANBU, eat it and see how you go.

FYI, I wouldn’t give it to the kids as a test case, just myself.

I'd still freeze it

Freeze it.

Likely that the kitchen was cool overnight anyway but even so giving the bolognese time to cool before freezing is good anyway.

If I had my work head on ‘chuck it’ as I don’t ‘bung it in the freezer it will be fine’ I hate food waste. If it was the middle of a heat wave I’d answer differently, I’m guessing your kitchen isn’t 28 degrees over night.

I’d freeze it

Assuming you haven't missed a vital detail like you live in the tropics of course you can freeze it. Don't waste good food

Freeze it. You're going to boil it again before you eat it anyway.

My answer would be different if it was longer than overnight or the room was very hot overnight.

You're going to boil it again before you eat it anyway that doesn't affect food poisoning so makes no difference.

Depends if the house was heated over night and how cool the kitchen was.
