Many years back I worked in a very low budget clothes shop while at college. One day on the till after bagging items I was presented with a voucher. This wasn’t a real shopping voucher, but was an advertisement of an Marks and Spencer’s one, cut out of a newspaper. Wonky and with readers letters on the back (and part of a models hand showing). It was also tiny, a fingers length in size
This was my first experience of someone trying to scam you (pre internet days!)
Also worth noting the shop I worked in wasn’t Marks and Spencer’s. Even had the voucher been legit we couldn’t have accepted it....
