My lovely friend has been on strike for ages and the grind is taking a toll. What shall I send her in a parcel to cheer her up?

You're not being unreasonable!

I mean really if you're on strike for a long time, money is probably what you need most!
Otherwise, food parcels (in my experience not cakes as you get loads on a picket line).
Some nice bath / shower stuff as it's always nice to have one (or both?!) at the end of a strike day.

Bath bombs, nice face/hair mask, nice body lotion, chocolates, nice coffee, a book...

Anything that’s a little bit luxurious. Think of the kind of thing you scale back on when you’re a bit skint, then think of what she likes, send her that.

Maybe some nice tea bags/coffee if she likes hot drinks?

I'd go basics with some luxuries - shampoo, conditioner, soap, showergel, sanitary items, tissues, face wash, moisturiser stuff. Then some tea or coffee with biscuits. If shes on strike pay without support - life will be pretty grim
