To ask where would you move to?

Looking to leave South East London in the next year or so, we have 2 dc 5 & 3 but 1 on the way. DH needs to commute into the city 3 days a week & I will wfh p/t as I do now. Budget 850k ish.

Want
more space
less pollution
good schools
maybe the sea

Don't want
to drive everywhere
to not be near a high street

Does this place exist?

I live in Bath which is lovely but a fag if you need to commute, however I have lived in other places too, Canterbury is nice- we lived their 8 years although I liked the town more than the population, Windsor is nice but the planes take a helluva lot of getting used to, Marlowe or Henley- very nice, caversham, very good suggestion, Oxford too (summertown) really nice and lots to do. I would avoid St Albans we have lived there twice, as expensive in my opinion as somewhere like Kingston but without being in zones and a very dull rather run down high st, used to be a lot nicer in my opinion. Personally my choices if needing to commute that much and wanting a bit of life would be caversham, Oxford, Canterbury or Guildford l/godalming.

Sorry missed Winchester off- that’s very nice too although a bit deadly in the week
