Posting for traffic - I am helping to organise a wonderful hen do for a dear friend, age group mid 30's to early 50's, looking to play some fun games that won't offend and absolutely no penises! So far I have the Mr & Mrs game - all ideas welcome!

Get some loo roll (although this might be in short supply just now!!) and put the hens in teams and have one in each team be the model, the rest of the team use the loo roll to design a wedding dress on the model! Bride to be can choose whichever team is the winner!! Can buy little sticky gems etc from poundshop if they want to add some bling!!

Each 'hen' has to bring along an object that tells us something about the bride-to-be. Or more specifically, it represents something in their friendship, and how they know her. The bride has to guess who has brought what, and why.
I don't think I've explained it very clearly, but it IS an excellent ice-breaker! Blush

The loo roll wedding dress one is hilarious, especially if you put them against the clock. My friends got so enthusiastic, I nearly went over the sofa backwards 😂
Beer pong. Always beer pong and variations thereof.
Mr and Mrs type quiz, you know, pet names, best physical feature etc.
Never have I ever... again, not specific to hen dos but tell me that doesn’t ALWAYS go down well

Similar to the suggestion above, at mine everyone had to draw a picture of a good memory they had with me. I then had to guess who drew what. It was nice to reminisce and tell everyone the story of each picture. Only works if everyone really does know the bride well. If not it can be awkward.

Who knows the Hen the best quiz
Team game - make best cake topper or Bride and Groom out of play dough
Book of advice from each hen for married life
Each person gives a clue of how they know the Hen and hen guess who wrote it

Needsomezzzz · 09/03/2020 19:28

Sorry. I did use paragraphs! Silly phone!

RedRedWines · 09/03/2020 19:28

We did a murder mystery at my hen party. One of the bridesmaids organised it and was the host, there was a storyline, everyone had a character and one of us was ‘murdered’ and we had to identify the killer through questioning each other. Google it there’s loads of variations. Great fun and gets everyone talking to each other!

Print some movie posters (or do it on the computer) and stick the groom's face over one character. Name the film and the actor!

How up for it is the groom? When I organised my sister's hen do, we did "guess that song" and the groom (prerecorded) sang the first 20-30 seconds of various romantic songs. Name the song and artist, bonus for the year!

sunshineandshowers21 · 09/03/2020 19:34

at my friend’s we had pass the parcel but instead of sweets in each layer there was a dare. stuff like wearing your bra over your clothes, pretend to be a horse for a minute, stand on a chair and sing a song. i’ve never seen anyone throw parcels at each other so fast 😂 we also did a version of mr and mrs where we asked the groom some questions beforehand and then the bride had to guess the right answer or take a shot.

CuntyMcBollocks · 09/03/2020 19:49

Love these!

FridaBorgen · 09/03/2020 19:52

Get everyone to bring an object that reminds them of a particular memory they share with the bride. The bride then has to guess which item was brought by which person, and the story behind it. (For example, at my hen party my best friend brought a dvd of Red Dwarf because we watched all the series when we were skiving off revising for our exams)

doadeer · 09/03/2020 19:52

If you do Mr and Mrs see if the groom to be will record some answers to the questions - this was funny at my sisters.

Palegreenstars · 09/03/2020 19:56

Someone went through the bride and others old Facebook status and you had to guess which were real / who’s they were. People said some embarrassing stuff 10 years ago!

SparklesAllOver · 09/03/2020 20:04

These ideas are fab, thank you, keep them coming!!

I've organised a few and always done a personalised quiz about the bride. You can have different rounds, eg

Factual - place of birth, birthday, family members names etc
Favourites - food, drink etc
True or false - embarrassing stories about her which may or may not have happenedWink
Husband to be round - where they met, etc
A picture round - my personal favourite! An opportunity to get all the old cringe pics of her out Grin in the past I've done it so a part of each photo is blacked out and you guess what was there. Many hours spent trawling through Facebook for the best/worst photos!

You can make it really funny and the bride loves it as it's so personal and brings all the friends together.

Good luck!

A few ideas from hen dos I've been on:
Instead of pin the tail on the donkey, kiss the groom. Life size outline of the groom, whack on the lippy and closest to his chest, mouth or whatever wins.
Prosecco / gin pong
A quiz about the bride
Make the best groom out of play doh
Find the groom - xx number hidden photos of the groom to find, split into teams to find them
Never have I ever

CupcakeEater · 09/03/2020 22:33

And if drinking we played a shot game where we watched a film and had a list of wedding themed words where we had to have a shot whenever they were said.

AlmostAlwyn · 10/03/2020 08:22

Also, if shots aren't possible (my sister doesn't drink), I got two packets of jelly belly beans - if she got the answer right, she could choose from the "nice" bowl (fruity ones or similar), but if she got it wrong, then she had to choose from the other bowl, which was jelly belly's "bean boozled" beans, which are half nice, half not!

Everyone is asked to bring a pair of brand new clean pants. The bride is asked a question she must answer for every pair of pants there are. For every one she gets wrong she has to wear the pants (on head or where pants normally go!) and for every one she gets right the pant buyer must wear them on their head or where they normally go.
