Ok so IABU to post here but it is for a reason.
On this day 3 years ago I posted asking if I was expecting too much of my DH. I was 9 months pregnant and totally isolated from friends, family, the world really.
And you lovely lot saved me, showed me I was really in a terribly abusive relationship that I just couldn't see, and within a day I had taken my DS, packed our stuff, "got our ducks in a row" and went to my mums.
From then you all gave me advice, supported me and were the friends I desperately needed at that time.
So today, I have two beautiful children, a life full of RL friends, I am divorced from my ExH and now have a wonderful, loving partner who treats my children as his own.
Ex has no contact whatsoever with me or his biological son, his choice and I am happy with it!
So today, with all that's going on on the world, just give yourself a pat on the back, because something as simple as posting a message full of love, concern, and tenderness can totally change someone's life.
Thank you all x

I am so happy for you. I think MN can help break through the terrible isolation and secrecy that abusers rely on.

I wish you and your DC all the best for a happy future. Flowers

@TestingTestingWonTooFree I hope so too, it was reading posts from others around the same time that encouraged me to create my post.
At the darkest moments I couldn't see a way out, he had made my world so small, I really didn't think there was anyone I could talk to openly and honestly about what I was going through. MN really is an amazing source of support and a sounding board for women going through all the shit life throws at you!

Well done. I expect it was the hardest bravest thing you have ever done. The world is your oyster now Smile
