Friend invited me and family on a day out, booked tickets to the event ages ago, husband took day off work. Text today to arrange meet time and they are not arriving till 1, this place will shut at 4.
It’s a 2 hr drive and not particularly cheap.
We will obviously be going when we want and they can meet us there , but I feel pretty cross we arranged a day out and actually they will only be there for 3 hrs. It’s not somewhere I’d chose to take my kids normally

Not a lot you can do OP. If your friend is normally more reasonable I'd chalk this one up to experience. If you make arrangements w your friend in future, maybe you could confirm some of the arrangements then??

But yes I would be a little annoyed.

Hopefully you'll still have an enjoyable day.

Go and use your tickets to the full.
Let friend know you will come and meet her when she arrives.
She will have to take the chance that if you're on the far side of the venue, she might have to wait a while!

Thanks ladies. Yes I plan to go make the most of the day, just checking that getting on with the day and not waiting around for them was reasonable and not my cross reaction x

What is the the event? Hard to judge if 3 hours is enough time without knowing what it is.
