Have just found a big box of Maltesers teasers on top of the kitchen cupboards.
The best before date is June 2019! Would you eat them or bin them?

You are joking. I'd have snaffled the lot before you had time to hit post!

dementedpixie · 07/03/2020 14:28

I'd have to taste test them before deciding! I'd most likely eat them tbh

AdaColeman · 07/03/2020 14:28

They should be fine. Try a few to make sure!

annie987 · 07/03/2020 14:29

I’ll try one and see what it tastes like.

Yes

Zisforstripyoss · 07/03/2020 14:29

Eat!!!

QueenOfOversharing · 07/03/2020 14:30

I'll send a taxi!!!

youareatwatadmitit · 07/03/2020 14:30

I'll have them if they're going in the bin!

BalanchineBallet · 07/03/2020 14:30

Of course !! I can’t believe you need to ask. Worst that will happen is the cocoa will have separated out a bit and the chocolate will be slightly discoloured with white.

annie987 · 07/03/2020 14:31

The outside tastes and looks normal. The inside tastes normal but is a bit white?

NearlyGranny · 07/03/2020 14:35

Oh, just scarf them, Annie - you know you want to! 😁

Lllot5 · 07/03/2020 14:36

I’d be eating them so quick I wouldn’t be able to type this message.

DramaAlpaca · 07/03/2020 14:38

FGS just eat them, woman!

QueenOfOversharing · 07/03/2020 14:50

I'm on a diet & now all I can think of is Maltesers. 🤤

Candyapple49 · 07/03/2020 14:50

I can’t believe you are asking !
No don’t eat them - send them to me and I will dispose of carefully 😂😂😂

trappedsincesundaymorn · 07/03/2020 14:56

Chuck them out....they are satans droppings. Envy

TheRealHousewife · 07/03/2020 14:58

Clue to if you can eat them is in the wording ... best before Grin

Eat away.

Different matter if it had read use by!

ViveLEntenteCordiale · 07/03/2020 15:00

Not maltesers but last weekend DH made chocolate chip cookies using chocolate chips that expired in 2016. They tasted fine.

Reader, we ate them all and are still alive Wink

We may also be scoffing half price fererro rocher with an expiry date of Feb 2020 Blush

TakeMeToYourLiar · 07/03/2020 15:02

The white is bloom, it's just the fat recrystallising on the outside. Not harmful.

They aren't at their best, but perfectly edible

CharlieCoCo · 07/03/2020 15:43

I've just fed the kids biscuits I've just opened that "expired' 3 years ago. They were fine and still crunchy. Had to chuck something else away that had softened. Dont waste good food.
