To expect my first love who i am in contact with from time to time- lives in another country to at least acknowlege Email or reply email i sent, to say it was my birthday last week.

I said that with my ex who was also my first love. We used to meet up for lunch etc but eventually we both moved on and took on different lives and now i sometimes see him in the street and say hi and that's about it. I wouldn't get upset about that because i know that we did once have something very special but life moves on.

Now i am with my dp and have dd i rarely even think about him and what he is doing and i certainly wouldn't get annoyed or upset if my ex didn't reply or forgot my birthday.
