Double Buggy Out n About V4

Would I be unreasonable to buy without trying? Or at the very least, is it foolish?

I have a 19 month old and am due my second in June. I have been researching double prams to no end and shortlisted a few. One that has stuck out and recommended by many is the Out n About v4. I'm not in a position to be able to test any of them, plus we're on a very restricted budget and this is a reasonable price. I found a discount voucher and can get the out n about double online at a very good price. Should I just go for it based on the reviews or is this a bad idea? Has anyone used this and have any input?

Don't know but following because I'll have a 15mo and newborn in July!

I bought one second hand. I don’t use it that often as DS2 is normally in the sling when we go out. When we do use it it’s great, steering is good (even with 2 bigger children in it) & it’s easy to get up and down. Only downside is that it’s huge even folded down, so you’ll need a big boot. Hope that helps!

@Littledinosaur thanks! Does it seem huge when using it? I've read that it's one of the slimmest side by side but I do worry about the size...

It’s the best pushchair I have ever owned! I too bought one second hand (actually it was a V3, but much the same) and it is absolutely excellent.

Most childminders seem to either have the Out n About or Baby Jogger City Mini.

Ohtherewearethen · 07/03/2020 11:48

I haven't tried that particular one but we bought a Which recommended single pushchair after a lot of research and it was a very expensive mistake. It was absolutely dreadful. We had to buy another one afterwards so I wouldn't recommend buying before trying to be honest.

I have it. It's a gift. Its lightweight. I currently have a 2.5 year and a 7mth old in it. I used it when baby was born. You can buy the insert . I did but personally I wouldnt bother. You dont feel any weight pushing it. It folds up really easy. Could you go into a baby store and give it a push.

Could you post on Facebook to ask if anyone local to you has one that you could have a look at?

@Blurby it’s absolutely fine when I’m using it, never had any issues getting anywhere. It’s purely fitting it in the car. It takes up a fair chunk of my 5 series estate boot!
