It’s putting me off using the site. These ads flash and change so often that they give me a headache and I can’t concentrate on reading.
Plus I will never now buy anything from these companies- their ads are too annoying.

I use a laptop and have constant flashing adverts on the right hand side...it's not good when you have sensory problems with vision and brain. I have stuck a piece of paper over the right hand side so I can't see them.

Use an adblock.

OhMyDarling · 15/03/2020 18:59

What’s that?

When I’m viewing MN on my laptop I scroll right to the bottom & click View Mobile Site. It gets rid of the side ads at least.

Whycantibetangy · 15/03/2020 19:06

I thought it was just me! Flash, change, flash, change, flash change. I’ve been zooming in to crop them out

Beesisabuzzin · 15/03/2020 19:09

And I keep accidentally clicking on them Angry

Ontheboardwalk · 15/03/2020 19:10

They are doing my head in as well

Which is the best adblocker to use? Resisted Adblock to date as accepted ads made money for MN. Can’t cope with them anymore though

DamnYouAutoCarrot · 16/03/2020 08:26

@Beesisabuzzin I think they are especially overly sensitive to being clicked! They are so annoying and just scrolling down seems to make them open..
@OhMyDarling it puts me off the site too.

Worriedmom2020 · 16/03/2020 09:01

I hate them with a passion. I have to come off every so often, I'm ASD and they are very simulating.
