I have an Ideal thermostat which we've had since around 2017.
Since last night it keeps switching itself off completely which in turn stops the heating from coming on when the temperature drops below the preset.
I've taken the back off and wiggled the batteries around a couple of times which made it come back on but after the 3rd time it happened I completely changed the batteries thinking that's that.
Well lo and behold it's off again, we were out and the house is now 15C (preset is 18) and freezing for us.
I've taken a battery out and put it back in and it's back on for now but the chances are it'll do the same overnight which will man LOs waking up to a freezing house.
Has anyone had an issue like this before? Do we need to replace it completely?
