Whose fault is it?

Please settle an argument! So, tissue left in trouser pocket and put in family wash basket. Trousers get bunged into washer/dryer and the inevitable happens. Is the blame with the trouser owner for not checking or the person doing the washing for not checking?

Yes, we all usually use fabric hankies so a rogue tissue crept in!

Has trouser wearer been ill? If so a little leeway if they don't usually use tissues might be in order.

Depends who is normally the checker tbh. But I am for equal blame here as people can miss things so the second check should catch them.

Equal blame on our house. I'm sneaks reminding DS1 to empty his pockets before putting things in the wash but as standard DH and I check pockets of stuff before we wash as a fail safe so if it's missed no ones really to blame

Trouser wearer. Although when my DH stated that I should have checked his trouser pockets before washing his tissue filled ones because "his Mum always did", my reply was that he could move back in with his bloody mother if that's what he wanted! The issue was no more!!

Trouser wearer. I refuse to check pockets or turn socks right way out (or unball them), and I also claim any treasure worth anything found in the drum after.

If they want their socks actually clean/right side out they can put them in the laundry basket properly. Fucking savages!
