Has anyone used Nub Techs Ltd for a gender prediction?? If so were they correct?

OP posts:
Babyg1995 · 05/03/2020 08:40

No and I wouldn't seen a few threads on here about them being wrong .
Go for a scan that will tell you the gender.

Bezalelle · 05/03/2020 09:02

When I read about Nub Techs, the phrase "a fool and their money are easily parted."

Just wait. Seriously. It's cod science, and preys on people's impatience.

It is either going to be a girl or a boy.

Just wait.

MouthBreathingRage · 05/03/2020 09:08

The nub theory is just a bit of superstition fun, if you want to pay for a closer genuine result, either have a private scan or pay for the Harmony test. Otherwise it's not that long a wait until the 20 week scan, surely?

DesLynamsMoustache · 05/03/2020 09:08

There was a post on here recently with someone who had been told 'girl' by 'nub experts' and then found out it was a boy at a scan and was quite upset. So only do it if you genuinely don't care about it being wrong (and if you genuinely don't care then save your money and wait till later).

Burgerandchipvan · 05/03/2020 09:17

You want a gender prediction? Your baby is non binary.

If you want to know the sex, if you PayPal me £25 I'll give you a guess. It's 50:50 afterall.

Crazyoldmaurice · 05/03/2020 10:17

I did it for fun, it was wrong!

Amylew20 · 05/03/2020 10:54

I did it in my last pregnancy with the nub techs they were right. I will do it again this time cos I like that my son will be able to actually be able to visualize what growing in my tummy from their drawing....and let's face it even scans can be wrong. It's all just a bit of fun.

PickettBowtruckles · 05/03/2020 11:21

I paid (stupidly, and thankfully it was only a fiver!) for some ‘nub experts’ who came back and told me I was expecting a boy, circled the bits of the scan which told them this and said it was 96% certainty it was boy. They were wrong, and I have a 1yr old DD.

YouDoYou18 · 05/03/2020 11:27

There are groups on Facebook that don’t charge a thing to guess the gender based on the nub, don’t part with any money and obviously don’t take their word for it! :) congrats on the baby op! We just found out we are having a boy a few days ago and we’re SO excited!

Amylew20 · 07/03/2020 10:39

If seen free groups on fb but they don't show me the detail or explain they just go along saying girl/BOY lol o want to know why plus I don't want anyone that knows me seeing it Grin

Quirrelsotherface · 07/03/2020 13:14

It's much easier to guess with the shape of the skull imo. I've guessed loads and never been wrong yet!

Lockheart · 07/03/2020 13:15

YABVU.

PickAChew · 07/03/2020 13:17

My guess is that roughly half of people using it found the results to be accurate.

that scan photo has your real name on it

Lockheart · 07/03/2020 17:26

I guess it will be either a boy or a girl.

Seriously OP it's too early to tell with any accuracy, just have some patience.

And yes, those scan pictures do have your name on them.

Quirrelsotherface · 07/03/2020 17:31

@Crazykat21

Ooh that is actually a bit tricky as it looks different in the 2 images but I think boy.

fiddledefiddle · 07/03/2020 17:35

I thought boy as well.

Samcarpy92 · 07/03/2020 17:42

Gender is a social construct

Jayl111 · 07/03/2020 18:01

Just seen this post and so looking forward to finding out in 2 weeks what out little bundle of joy is. Anyone fancy a guess before we find out for a bit of fun x x

I didn't like the nub techs, they emailed me and said they couldn't see the nub and I was issued a refund. Except I wasn't issued a refund. It was only two weeks later when I realised that I hadn't had a refund. Had to send multiple emails to get my refund and they didn't apologise or anything.

So I tried the 'nub experts' and got this result. They were right.

There was another part of the email that said my placenta was positioned in a way that favoured a boy.

stairgates · 07/03/2020 18:12

I advise anybody not to pay for a nub guess, there are free sites that have been running for years that will give you all the information you need:) In-gender is the longest running nub guessing site I know, 15+ years, all free!! OP I will tell you now, your pics do not show a complete nub, 1st pic no nub, 2nd pic incomplete, they will charge you, make a guess as that is what is available from your pics and offer you a refund if they are wrong, which on a guess will be 50% off the time, send £1 o the australia fire charity and post on in-gender:)

Jayl, I would have a guess at boy for you but not confident, if either of you want to start a post over in the pregnancy section, post all the pictures you have, I will be happy to explain everything I am seeing:)

MT2017 · 07/03/2020 18:31

@Crazykat21it's a girl ♀️

MT2017 · 07/03/2020 18:32

One of them is right 🤷
