How long do schools take to shortlist?

Hi guys...

I have recently applied for an admin job in a local school... the closing date was Monday 3pm. I know it's only Wednesday today but how long do they usually take to shortlist? Does anyone have any experience in the process.

Also the job advertisement did not give any interview dates either.

Don’t know about admin, but teaching is usually within a day of the deadline. Hope you hear soon.

Yes it's normally fairly quick. Interviews within a week of the deadline isn't uncommon. Good luck!

Yes they're fairly quite soon after the deadline but it does depend on how many applications they get. Any admin job we've advertised (public sector but not a school) has had upwards of 60 applications which takes a good few days to shortlist!
