What do you use to raise a bed?

Posted on here for the traffic

I have just moved from temporary accomidation to permenant accomidation,

Ordered DS a new bed and it turns out it doesnt fit in his room due to the stair box in his room. The bed is brand new so i dont want to have cut the legs down ( mid sleeper ) so ive been looking at furniture raisers but im worried they wont be sturdy enough

My plan is to attatch the bed on top of the stair box and to the wall and then to get some furniture raisers for the other half of the bed, can someone recomend furniture raisers that will be sturdy enough? 3 legs will be bracket to the wall so it will only be one leg that is only reliable on a furniture raiser

Hes currently swapping between our room and DD's room and no one is getting a good nights sleep 🤦‍♀️ need him in his own bed asap

How much do you need to raise it by? Are we talking inches or feet?

Ah sorry forgot to mention that, its about 25cm high

Can you find a local carpenter type person to make something sturdy? There are places that make odd bed raiders for exactly this purpose.

Can you return the bed and find something more suitable?

I've raised my bed that height using poly pipe 4-6 inches wide (not going to raise the bed to look). You know the plumbing type white pipe you can get in hardware stores. Its sturdy and holding up well. I would expect it would slide over the leg of the bed like a sleeve. Not costly to try.

If you're on Facebook I'd suggest joining the DIY on a Budget page, then post your query with some pics of the room and bed and you'll get people talk you through it and show you how they achieved similar
