Would I be unreasonable to take my DS back to the doctor?

I’m not sure what to do now. My 4yo DS has had a rash on his face since the Thursday before last. I got an appointment with an advanced nurse practitioner the day the rash appeared because he had a rash like that previously and was given antibiotics to clear it up. She said it was viral and to just leave it to sort itself out. It’s now been almost two weeks and the rash is still there. He has no other symptoms apart from a very runny nose, and is perhaps a bit more tired than usual.

Do I get another appointment? I don’t want to waste anyone’s time, but it seems unusual that he is still so spotty and showing no signs of improvement. Incidentally, his twin brother has been totally unaffected, but my DD, who is 14months, came out in a similar rash at the weekend, but hers is on her torso, not her face.

2 weeks is fine to return to gp as a virus should be showing signs of improvement by now. Hope it clears up soon.

You wont be wasting anyone's time, I know some gp practices make you feel like that but yes take him back

Yeah, take him back and get them to check DD too.
