To ask for summer holiday recommendations

Hit me with your family summer holiday recommendations please!

It's been years since we've been abroad - am out of touch! 2 dc age 8 and 6. Looking for somewhere close by like Spain/Spanish island - Majorca or menorca. Or perhaps greece. Ideally a hotel with good facilities, pool and slides, entertainment, but close to a beach and shops, restaurants. Don't like being stuck on one complex with nothing nearby.

Any ideas for resorts or hotels would be grand.

el delfin verde resort in costa brava, spain might suit? you are near lots of little towns which contain restaurants and things to see, but there is a waterpark on site. there is also a variety of places to stay in the resort, as there is a hotel but also villas

We went here a few years ago. It's a fairly small hotel but facilities are good and not too far from the beach. Shops & restaurants are nearby but this is all inclusive. A big bonus for us was that the all inclusive food & drink was also available at the waterpark next door

Thanks both look really nice. Just want somewhere where the kids will be entertained and lots to see nearby. Ideally near a beach too

We've been here too, really good, but the beach is further away, though they run a shuttle bus
