Weed smoking neighbour

So my neighbour, from what I know she lives alone, with her 2 dogs, homeowner. In her late 40s, we only moved in to our house over a month ago, prior to this we were have renovation done as it's a very old house and has had nothing done to it at all, all works Carried out within the hours of 10am-5pm, she still felt need to send a noise complaint to the council. Anyways, since we moved in, every night I can smell weed in my children's bedroom, if they were older I would've suspected them! We share a chimney with that neighbour, which has air vents and the smell is coming through from there, we have blocked this off but still can smell it, it's is so so strong!! I don't want my children inhaling that shit in. I've never seen anyone else go in or come out of her house except herself, and her dog walker that comes every weekday 9am and brings them back at around 4pm. The neighbour does go out to work 8.30am and comes home after 5pm.

My question is who do I make a compliant about this to? Surely smoking 🚬 weed even in your own home is illegal? Am not confrontational and wouldn't be able to go ask her, also she seems like she hates us from when she made the noise complaint and doesn't acknowledge us the once when I was getting out the same time as her. So I don't think that will go down well, although when we had Reno done, she had the audacity to knock on and say to the workers that they are making too much noise, so not U for me to knock on and say your weed is making me high ? Lol
Help pls

Police. Find the dealers. Lol.

@h3av3n are you really comparing the smell of an illegal drug to curry smell?? I can only think you are a weed smoker 😏

I like the idea of finding the dealer haha
I think I will have a polite word with her the next time I see her or dh is saying we should leave her a polite note, i know some people can become abit mental upon receiving notes so I don't know if that will go down well

Why should you have to endure that awful smell in your house when you don't choose to smoke it? Some people are just plain selfish. She needs to know that you're suffering - she may not be aware.

We had that issue in our house, we lived in a pretty bohemian neighbourhood so it was everywhere anyway. We moved into a detached in an area where neighbours are considerate of one another. Life is much better now.

The people who are saying YABU are not taking into account that that this is a daily event for you. I'd turn a blind eye if it was once a month or when your neighbour had a party, but you shouldn't have to endure this every day and your home and furnishings shouldn't have to smell of someone else's drugs.

YABU. I’m sure you’d rather a weed smoker than some piss head who screams and shouts till stupid oclock in the morning. Nothing you can do about either, unless they’re growing it the police won’t be the slightest bit interested.
