OK, shamelessly posting here for traffic. As an American living in the UK, I didn't realise until recently that all Americans living abroad are eligible to vote in the Democratic Global Primary elections. It doesn't matter how long you've lived away from the US, and no absentee ballot is needed.

  • Go to www.democratsabroad.org/primary
  • Register online with Democrats Abroad if you haven't already
  • Print out your ballot, choose candidate of your choice, sign and date
  • Scan or photograph your ballot
  • Email it back by midnight Pacific Time on March 10! That's it.

You have the choice of either voting with an absentee ballot from your home state, or voting in the global primary (you can't do both). But your global vote will probably carry more weight. From the Democrats Abroad website:
While tens of thousands of people will participate in the global primary this year, millions will vote in your home state. That means that your vote in the Global Presidential Primary is more powerful than if you were to vote in home state - in fact, it can be up to 4 times more powerful!

More here:

You can also vote in person at various polling stations around the world, starting tomorrow. In the UK, there will be pollling stations in Edinburgh, St Andrews, Cambridge, Oxford and London. The full international list of polling dates and times is here:

So come on fellow Americans living abroad, let's get our embarrassment of a President out of the White House!
