I dont think i m being unreasonable but i work full time monday to Friday and Sunday is my super cleaning day. The whole house gets cleaned.
Ds and dd live here too (adults) but are often working/away at weekends so i like to get through the cleaning alone.
Recently my friend wants me to meet her on a Sunday for drinks and its ALWAYS when i ve just sat down with the cat after deep cleaning!
I dont like to let her down as she doesn't have family here and a lot of her friends are in relationships (she s newly single).
Aibu to want to stay in alone with my cat?
I would go sometimes but not EVERY sunday.
I m starting to dread looking at my messages now.
Any kind way to explain I just love time on my own or would you just go (I do have fun once I m there).

Suggest Sunday brunch then go home, clean and sit with your cat?

Been persuaded out. Going to try and forget work and cleaning for a few hours.
