Had a bit of a cold/cough since the start of the week but not the cough has got really bad so think it’s turned into a chest infection.
My original plan was wait until Monday to see if it gets any better and if it hasn’t then get an emergency GP appointment to get checked out and any antibiotics if I need them.
However I’ve woke up this morning and there’s blood in my phlegm. Online it says to ring 111 or go to A&E because I take Apixaban which is a blood thinner, and I had a pulmonary embolism two years ago.
In myself I feel fine and I have no doubt that at the worst it’s a chest infection but now my DP is saying I should go walk in or A&E as it says on NHS website.
It isn’t how I want to spend my Sunday and I don’t want to spread my germs to other poorly people in hospital by visiting.
More of a WWYD I suppose. Do I play it safe and follow advice or do I listen to myself and go to the GP tomorrow?
