Stalking other dogs

Does anyone have any advice/experience in handling dogs that stalk other dogs?
I have a very reactive teenage husky that has taken to stalking dogs on walks. He is leashed. He becomes extremely fixated on lots of different things, but the stalking has me particularly perplexed. It's definitely not in a playful way - more of a predatory stalk.

If this makes sense, and anyone can help I'd be grateful. We are also working with a trainer, but would like some other perspectives.

I do love them Would love to get one just for Ddog to charge round with and chew on, but I'm not brave enough. Plus my house would be reduced to its foundations within a week. But if you're ever near Cardiff, I have something that'll tire your dog out, play the stalking game all day, and kneecap the fucker if he tries to run away

My Spitzes (which are loosely related to the Husky as a breed) used to do a lot of play bowing and what I thought of as the Spitz smile, which was a kind of scowl that meant play with me. I can see how if you saw a fur ball like a Spitz doing that you might laugh, but a Husky would look a lot more intimidating. My Griffon x Husky (rescue, no idea who thought that was a good pairing, but he is wonderful) also does a lot of play bowing.
