Not really an aibu but wasnt sure where to post, I'm quite over weight and to be honest miserable about it and although I know I eat like a pig I don't know where to start, I need to lose 2stone 5 lbs, I never had a weight issue but I do now, this time last year I was this size and said id do something about it, I haven't !! I guess what I'm asking is for some help, I'm wondering if anyone knows any decent work outs I could do at home, ( money is tight so can't join the gym and don't have the time ) and also how many calories I should be eating a day? What food to avoid etc xx

Well done for being brave enough to start taking steps to achieving your goal.

Try fitness blender for free at home work outs. Start slow and build up.

Good luck xx

2000 calories a day, I think. I lost my baby weight my walking. Headphones, favourite music. Start slow, just round the block and back and work you way up to 20 mins then an hour if you like. They say 20 mins a day is enough but you can work up to wherever you want. Slow and steady wins the race OP ❤️

Download an app called nutra check. You can add your height, weight, age and how much you want to lose your activity levels and it tells you how many calories and you add everything into it like a diary so you keep on top of how many calories you are eating.

It’s really simple. It has a uk database and you can find most food on it easily. It’s barely any effort.

Counting calories isn’t for everyone but it’s been the best thing for me. It means I can have a little bit of what I fancy as long as it’s in my calories or If I go Over I’ll be good the next day.

As for home exercising you could try dancing or buy a mini trampoline - they aren’t too expensive or try exercise routines. Either a dvd or you find some on YouTube.

Thankyou for your replies, no chocolate or crap food today and I've only eaten breakfast and lunch and only when I was hungry ( I like to binge when I'm bored ) walked 13,394 steps, feeling positive now xx

Well done!

Go for a life style change rather than a short term diet though - will help you keep the weight off long term! Keep it up 👍🏼
