Too long in this house?

I have been living in my very modest little house for 22 years. Came as a housing association tenant then was able to buy it about 8 years ago. I have been happy here and felt safe, with nice neighbours and quiet village.
Now though, all elderly neighbours have died off in last few years and the village is changing.
DH thinks we should move and is looking at bigger more expensive houses but I feel torn. If I don't move soon I will prob be here until I die.
Anyone else been in their home a long time? Fear I have become institutionalised and scared of change.

I had been in my last house 15 years so not as long as you. I found the decision to move easy. Neighbours had changed and I didn't feel I belonged there any more. I moved 5 years ago and everything is good. But in my mind I still don't feel settled. Not sure the way I used to be and I don't know why. I think it will happen eventually.
