I dislike the whole ‘DH, DD, DS’ so on so forth.... is it really so hard to just say husband etc.?
It especially amuses/ irritates me when someone is using ‘DH’ in a thread where they’re essentially criticising everything their ‘darling’ husband is doing.

Tartyflette · 29/02/2020 12:24

PS I think this hate ^ is entirely reasonable. You can probably tell.

Bluesheep8 · 29/02/2020 12:44

Appalling grammar

"Would of/should of"
"Needs going/Needs gone"
"Upmost"

Always makes me feel I just don't want to read any further.Hmm

Alcoholic drinking to what they consider excess but is in fact normal.

Bluesheep8 · 29/02/2020 12:58

Oh and "I was sat". Yep, bad grammar is definitely something I hate. And there is so much of it on here.

MarieQueenofScots · 29/02/2020 12:59

People who think MN is a homogenous mass rather than a group of diverse individuals with their own thoughts and views.

I disagree on a couple of those. Most of Mumsnet seems to tumble dry everything even when the weather is good and say that you couldn't possibly do a family grocery shop for under about£200 pw.

Fun socialisation doesn't seem very popular around here.

Parties, work dos, weddings, hen weekends always seem to get a lot of 'my worst nightmare, I wouldn't go' sort of comments.

ThatUserNamesTakenTryAnother · 29/02/2020 13:04

Using AIBU for things like recipes, baby names etc. Stating "I know it's not a aibu but"......

Using df dm etc. and even more irritating Ddog FFS!

MimiLaRue · 29/02/2020 13:05

Sex. Apparently, anyone who has sex more than twice a year is some kind of perv who is "coercing" their partner into it when all they really want is a cup of tea. Any time anyone expresses dissatisfaction with their sex life they get screamed at to stop being so ungrateful and selfish and that personally they'd "far prefer to have a cup of tea" Grin

All topics are simply just varied forms of: "I live my life like this, therefore you are WRONG for choosing to live differently to me".
Its that in a nutshell. People seem utterly baffled that others make different life choices to them.

ThatUserNamesTakenTryAnother · 29/02/2020 13:06

People that get annoyed at bad grammar sound pompous and pathetic

QueenOfOversharing · 29/02/2020 13:06

Oh this is a thread where I could be flamed to fuck... 🤔

strawberry2017 · 29/02/2020 13:10

I really really hate when people don't update their posts so I don't find out what happens. If I have invested time in your story then tell me how it ends!

BlancheDuBlah · 29/02/2020 13:10

Bad grammar is like bad hygiene. Stop doing it. No one likes it. And it doesn't make any sense.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 29/02/2020 13:15

Gender threads. We get it, people have differing opinions.

Paulolina · 29/02/2020 13:15
