How much for tooth out on nhs?

I've just had two teeth out and a scale and polish. In total with the emergency appointment last week where I had xray and antibiotics, cost me £500. Shock

I just wondered how much this would have cost me on nhs.

I wasn't registered nhs and I went private for other reasons but i nearly died at the bill.

£22 with an emergency appointment through 111

that is band 2 £62.10 for exactly the same treatment. nothing would have been done differently

They wouldn't have removed it though as it had abscess. I have been via 111 before and it's basic treatment only.

Would have been Band 2 on the NHS..

£62.10.

I had one out last year, I have an NHS dentist, and I was really shocked. Shocked by how cheap it was. I'm sure it was less than £20.

I actually thought it was ridiculous, surely if they charged a bit more then dentists wouldn't be so reluctant to take NHS patients? Or is that not how it works?

basic treatment on an emergency appointment but as a proper check up appointment that is still band 2 even if you have been given antibiotics first

My partner got his abscessed tooth out for £22 on emergency 111

In Ireland, in the practice I use, 250 euros. No nhs here, various schemes that cover various people - but 250 is the private patient cost according to their website.

Band 2 £60 odd something.

You would have had all the same treatment and be covered for 3 months if anything went wrong in between.

You would also have required antibiotics at a prescription cost off £9

Fuck!!!! Well i couldn't get with nhs but feeling a little sick now.
