Okay so I'm exaggerating slightly but it seems like this winter we've had bug after bug, cough on and off, constant runny nose. It's doing my head in now! Someone told me it's not been cold enough this winter to kill all the bugs?!

It's not just us is it? Tell me her immune system will be rock solid when she starts school.

Same here. So so frustrating especially as passes them all onto our 5month old (whose only way of dealing with snot and excess mucus is being sick). Roll on summer and healthy strong immune systems in future!!!

Yes, one dd used to be snotty and sounded as though she smoked 40 B&H a day most winters. She was hale and hearty as soon as she began school.

Yes, this is most familiar. Every time from the doctor, no matter how bad she seems, it's "well this is what happens at nursery. They get bugs and viruses." Hmm

pigsDOfly · 28/02/2020 16:23

Most definitely. Not mine, as such, but my grandchildren: eldest 5 years.

It's been non stop. I think my DD feels like there's a curse on her and the children at the moment, it's been one thing after another.

As sympathetic as I am for you OP, it's quite comforting to hear she's not the only one going through this. The difficulty for her is that she seems to be getting a lot of what the children are getting, so she's not well either.

I've been practically living at her house this winter. Can't wait for it all to end.

Nursery is a disaster area for germs, gets better as they get older, but winter can be miserable (I mean from September to around April to be honest), summer when they're outside more isn't so bad.
