DS is at a nursery settle session. DH has the car so sadly I’m a bit isolated in a tiny village (10 mins drive from home but a real slog to walk/bus) as the buses are really unreliable and I don’t want to be too far away. I’ve been for a lovely walk and am now having a coffee and a toasted tea cake, watching Eurosport and listening to the radio in a lovely cafe. I’m the only customer. I can’t even feel guilty about not cracking on with the housework. I haven’t had me time like this for 18 months. This is BLISS.

Anyone else taking a well deserved break today? 😊

Sounds perfect!

You need to have time for yourself at least once a week. Just a few hours away makes such a difference.

Sounds lovely OP. I have a day off work today for a very different reason to yours, but it has enabled a morning of coffee, crumpets, the wood burner and sloppy clothes rather than the cold, dark drive to work! Enjoy your ‘me time’ Smile

I took myself (and the dog) out for lunch yesterday. It was so nice.

Enjoy it!
