To be completely miserable after being ill for 10 weeks

More of a moan than an AIBU. I got ill with a nasty flu type thing in the middle of December. Since then I’ve literally had illness after illness after illness - it’s been a mix of chest infections, sinusitis and tonsillitis. My latest bout of tonsillitis started on Monday. I’m now on my 5th course of antibiotics in 10 weeks. I’m knackered from 5am starts every morning, working full time, looking after the kids and trying to keep the house in some kind of reasonable order. Just to add insult to injury I also have my period . My toddler bit me tonight and DH appears to be talking to Bloody Alexa more than me

I don’t really get ill. Its horrible.

Poor you. Puts my current bout of sinusitis into perspective. You must be feeling desperate. Chin up, hopefully the weather will change soon, and you will start to recover. In my native language, we talk about the "4 Vs" which are essential for recovery from anything from flu to heartache: warmth, water, rest and kindness. I wish you all of those in abundance, OP.

You must be thoroughly fed up OP. I seem to have never ending sinusitis - it had just started to shift and then I got the mother of all colds and I'm back at square one. Hope it starts to get better soon.

I hear you OP. I feel like I’ve been ill since early December and had my first ever sinusitis in January - that really is the gift that keeps giving. My son is 21 and is saying the same which makes me feel less of an old fart. I am literally crouched over limping when I walk and bones aching all day long 😒

I feel your pain i have been ill since November with colds,coughs, sinusitis and 3 sickness bugs in 5 weeks, I'm shattered now and on my period and feeling pretty defeated. I have layed on my sofa in my work uniform since 4 today drifting in and out of sleep. I wish you all feel better soon.
