it looks awful. I'm not from the UK (as in heritage) and I have dark hair.
Lovely eyebrows, if I do say so myself, but they grow so bloody quickly and nothing is helping Angry
Don't get me started on my upper lip hair, and my monobrow.
I've come to a point where I think I should just accept it by now Angry

Advice wanted, of course. How do I accept my facial hair?? I look like a hairy gorilla to be honest Grin

Would bleaching be too extreme for you? I know quite a few ladies who have it done..

Notimeforaname · 26/02/2020 00:18

You can do it yourself at home or go to a salon.
It's safe,... of course there can be side effects with anything but there are some good ones on the market

And lucky you with fabulous eyebrows!! I have to draw half of mine on every day BlushGrin

IPL worked for me.

goodytooshoes · 26/02/2020 00:22

Could you derma plane? I do this, they're only fine hairs and they have never grown back thicker, they only come back fine the same as before. I don't do it all the time as it's not something you have to keep up once you start.

If you want me to make you feel better about having facial hair then I could tell you about my good friend that lost her entire head of hair, eyebrows, lashes and even her teeny moustache and peach fuzz (because everyone has it)

I assure you she is rocking the bald look and really a small bit of facial hair is nothing compared to that. You do you

I have blonde hair but hate my face fur. I have used the cream remover at home. It does work well. I also have a delicate shaver thing my mum bought. It's really good. I'll try to find a link. The thing is- you just have to wage war on the fuckers, taking them down one by one.

Tweezerman tweezers, a magnifying mirror x15 and a small light near you. Pluck them out. If not hormonal try laser.

Scott72 · 26/02/2020 00:26

Problem with waxing or tweezing, they keep growing back, and pretty fast probably. Bleaching sounds better, or lasering even better as with lasering they don't grow back right?

I use a facial epilator on my tache. Poirot would be jealous of me if I didn't Grin

I use the Lumea it’s great for facial hair.

Donkeytail · 26/02/2020 00:39

I second the lumea. I got one for Christmas and it is just as good as mumsnet said it is.

I’m pale with VERY DARK HAIR it’s in caps because it’s that dark. And that thick. And have a fantastic patchy chin beard and if I was a 90s pick up artist, it would be great! But I’m not. So I have it lasered and it’s amazing, and the lasers now work for dark skin too. I know I sound like a QVC ad but I cried when I realised how much it changed my life to get rid of it. Comes back (for me) but not even half as bad so I have more sessions. Wish I could make my eyebrows grow as well.
