Anyone else with reoccurring uti after c section

Not really aibu but I am wondering how common this problem is. My son has just turned 2 and since he was born I have suffered recurrent utis every other month, does anyone else have the same experience? It is ruining my life, I never got them prior to having a c section

Haven't personally experienced this after my CS, but I have heard of it. Isn't it something to do with the catheter? Not sure what the solution is though, sorry OP. UTIs are miserable

Sorry OP, another one saying no! Had a CS 9 months ago and haven’t had a single UTI since. I’m no expert, but that definitely doesn’t sound normal, or pleasant for you. Have you been to your GP to find out what’s going on?

I had them frequently during and after pregnancy. Doctor seemed to think combination of hormones. Only once was an actual infection, all other tests came back clear.
Only thing that helped was taking supplements dmanrose supplements from sweet cures. It seemed more of an inflammatory problem rather than infection.
Had to stay off coffee / tea / coke / artificial sweeteners for about a year.
Mine also coincided with recurrent thrush so I had a year of continuous treatment of both. During treatment time I did not have any symptoms but I tried coming off both treatments after a few months and it rapidly presented again.
Happily now back to no treatments. Hope this passes quickly for you
