Wondering what your own personal signs of the perimenopause were please? And what age. Am 40 and am noticing some irregularity to cycle, terrible mood swings, pmt for half the month, slight migraines. Just feel so low

All the regular stuff -changes to period, migraines, hot flushes, weight gain but please, listen up people...anxiety. I had no idea how common anxiety is during peri. Crippling, panic attack, mad, suicidal anxiety. Please, if you feel this way, go to the GP. In my case HRT sorted it right out. Others go on antidepressants but I preferred to deal with the root cause.

Suicides and divorce spikes during peri menopause.

For me it was terrible short term memory....

I think I am peri menopausal... it's just a few small things though.

When I was 40 I got PMT for the first time - I felt really low for a day or two and then the feeling suddenly lifted when my period started. Also my periods, while regular, started getting less predictable in terms of heaviness / lightness of flow.

That was 6 years ago. I've still only had PMT a couple of times. My only other symptom is itchiness down below (sorry TMI!).
