AIBU to be bothered by this level of stupidity?

Can’t post this anywhere else for fear he’ll see it. I’ve been seeing someone for a few months, he went and got a new tattoo today.

It’s f**king spelt wrong.

It’s in his native language so wasn’t picked up by the tattooist or anyone else he’s shown the design to, until he sent family back home a picture of the finished tattoo.

I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that anyone wouldn’t double, triple & then quadruple check the spelling of something before they had it tattooed on to their body.

I even sent him a jokey reminder just before to make sure the tattooist spelt it right. It never occurred to me that he wouldn’t have checked it himself 🙄

AIBU to be a bit bothered by the fact that he’s done something so utterly stupid yet so easily avoidable? It’s making me doubt his overall grasp of common sense.

He could now be the subject of one of those ‘bad tattoos’ threads that people howl at on reddit 🙄 🤨

Hahaha. What a tool. Yadnbu. At least only those who know his native language will know it's wrong I suppose that's something

YANBU. What language is it and how obvious is the tattoo?

YABU to be bothered by it, it’s not like he tattooed it on you! It is pretty stupid but it’s also quite common, a major celebrity did this just last week (Orlando Bloom?)
