Coronaviris-Italy-skiing-friend-lift

So a friend has agreed to drive me 5 hours north on 9 March.

He tells me today!!! that he comes back from skiing in the North of Italy on the 8th.
Given the spiralling crisis in Northern Italy, how dependable is that lift going to be?
He's going from 1-8 March.
I'm afraid that he'll be quarantined and that I should make alternative arrangements now?
Would you? Or would you depend on the lift? (He is totally blase about the whole thing).

What is your AIBU? What do the poll answers indicate?

woodencoffeetable · 24/02/2020 16:56

it's always sensible to have a back up plan.

RocketFire · 24/02/2020 16:57

find an alternative

SleepWarrior · 24/02/2020 16:57

I'd start making some alternative plans as back up. Who knows, he may not even make it to Italy given what's going on, in which case he'll be good for the lift at least!

hamstersarse · 24/02/2020 16:58

It would be very selfish of him to contract coronavirus given his commitment

Skierrdery · 24/02/2020 16:58

Ok, I guess I should make alternative arrangements. Going to cost an arm and a leg, but at least it will get me there.
