I live in the next village to Mansfield and I’m struggling.

AndWhyNot is probably your best bet, or there’s a tapas restaurant in nearby Ravenshead called Santorini which is lovely.

How about Moda in Hucknall? Or il Rosso/Ciao Bella in Mansfield?

Are there restaurants in Mansfield?!

I knew someone from there once. I imagined she just had a sort of trough to eat from. Wink

I’ve been to Mansfield a lot as a friend lives there-we usually go to Nottingham though!
Andwhynot and The Red (is that still there?) are the only places I’ve eaten there I think. But neither “special”

Nope, I’ve tried but can’t come up with anything that I would want. If you want cheapish average pub grub (they’d probably put a buffet on for you) there’s the Black Bull. Mansfield Manor hotel has a nice location and building but I’d be dubious about the service and food. The teahouse maybe if you want an afternoon tea thing? Or hire a hall and get caterers in?

I once had a nice meal at the Blue Chilli Thai restaurant. But it’s not cery weddingy

Wasywasydoodah · 24/02/2020 22:36

I mean very weddingy

GrimSisters · 24/02/2020 22:37

Launays in Edwinstowe is absolutely lovely.

The only cause I’ve ever had to get tested for an STD was because of a chap from Mansfield. From that alone, I would suggest OP travels out into the city 😂

Butteredtoast55 · 24/02/2020 23:25

I'm going to a wedding at Mansfield Registry office next month! I haven't been to the town itself for about 30 years though so no recommendations - I'd say hopping into Nottingham is your best bet.

PH30B3 · 25/02/2020 07:46

What about fables in Edwinstowe?

PH30B3 · 25/02/2020 07:46

Or even launays in Edwinstowe?
