Can you name one thing which made you smile today? Lots of sad posts so aiming for one positive one. I met a dog, it wanted a tummy rub! What made you smile even once today?

Messing around chatting to group of girls and being daft. Speaking to childhood friend.

My crochet blanket is coming along well. I'm making it for my mothers birthday next month and I'm enjoying watching it grow and grow.

Last night I slept more or less all night from 10pm to 7.45am. I was so happy when I woke up!

Watching my 18m old in the snow made me smile. She was so confused, she'd walk a step or two then make straining noises and shout "stuck stuck"

Today is my induction day!

My little girl walked for the first time with one of those walker things that you push along (not the massive ones - I know they're bad!) after also having a brilliant day at nursery, eating and napping well and not crying once. It was only her 3rd day there.
She makes me so, so proud!

My daughter made a mini snowman (it melted shortly after she went to school).

Ok, this made me smile today, because I live in Ohio. Seen at McDonald's.

My little Dd's taking turns to tickle each others toes 🥰.....their 1 & 2, Dd2 got so excited she did a snort/laugh/fart, which had them both in hysterics! Wish I filmed it!

Yesterday, going to my parents’ house made me smile & feel warm inside. My eldest DC was there, & I took my younger 3 DCs after work & school. They invited us round for pancakes.

Things have been strained for years between me and my parents, but have recently become so much better between us. 😊

I’m not out of bed yet but am placemarking for later.

I agree it is good to record the happy and hopeful stuff to counteract the gloom and bad news all around

@Toomanygerbils as do I 😊! They've just got to an age now where they've figured out that they love playing together, its heart melting to watch their bond forming so well- just feel like a very lucky mum!

(To put a flip side in there, DH has left so going through early stage break up rubbish, but my cloud has two very happy little silver linings- every intention of keeping things that way!)

Watching my six year old DGD patiently showing her two year old DB how to do a jigsaw puzzle, in spite of the fact that he's going through a phase of pulling her hair if ever he can get close enough!
