Not an aibu but it wouldn't let me change it, if you use velcro rollers, do you do them on wet or dry hair and how long do you leave them in for? Do you spray with hairspray whilst they are in or after or not at all? Fed up of straightening my hair xx

I have mega curly hair so I have to blow dry it straight / smooth and then use curlers. I use a bit of stuff in my hair before I roll then spray once the rollers are in. I’d then remove then later, run my fingers through and spray again,

I’d guess it depends on your hair type and what works for you. Trial and error...

I use them on freshly dried hair whilst it’s still warm. I then blast my whole head again once all the rollers are in, and then spritz with hairspray. Leave for a minimum of 15 minutes to set.

Oh, just realised you said you’re sick of straightening - sorry, I have polker straight hair and use the rollers to add body.

My DM is a lifelong roller wearer - her hair is curly and prone to frizziness.. but she's never blow dried her hair ever - she's 73 now and her hair is beautiful.. really thick and strong! So, she says soaking wet hair.. leave to dry naturally... smooth and glossy every time!

I wear Velcro rollers and sleep in them
Put them in wet hair, wake up to it dry then just run the straightened over to smooth it

Chops2017 · 22/02/2020 17:57

Thankyou I am going to try and do that tonight xx
