Not an Aibu I really needed the traffic
My DH has has a trapped nerve since last week it has been so bad at times he has just sat there and cried. He has been given everything morphine, diasipan, nerve relaxants and nothing is even taking the edge off
I am looking for positive outcome store's really, how long does it last? What helped with the pain? How can I help him?
He's been to the dcos twice and once to A&E usually I have to nag him to go to the docs so I know he must feel terrible. He also went to see his osteopath who refused to touch him as he was in too much pain
He is a very strong proud man and the constant pain is really getting to him mentally and I'm really worried

I take Amitriptyline for a trapped nerve in my thigh. He has my sympathy because they're so damn painful and it can take a while to find what medication works.
Has he had lidocaine patches? Where is the trapped nerve? There's also biofreeze and deep heat which can be applied to where the source is. Both available in the chemist.
There's also Gabapentin and Pregablin that are often prescribed and worth looking up.
I think he needs to keep going back to the GP if he's still in pain until they find something that works.

The tarappwd nerve is in the back of his neck so it's also affecting both shoulders he's currently taking Amitriptyline he just says it knocks him out but the pain is still there how long have you had yours for @looselips?
